Dr. Dale Grotelueschen is currently serving as President of the Academy of Veterinary Consultants Foundation. He has served as president of the Academy of Veterinary Consultants, the Nebraska Veterinary Medical Association (NVMA), the American Association of Extension Veterinarians, and the NVMA Centennial Scholarship Foundation. He is serving as the Chairman of the NCBA Cattle Health and Well-being Committee, immediate past chair of the USAHA Committee on Cattle and Bison, and is a past Director and Secretary of the AABP Foundation.


During his career, he has enjoyed private practice ownership, university positions focused on extension, diagnostics and administration, and industry technical services with Pfizer Animal Health. He is a Professor Emeritus with the University of Nebraska. Recognitions include the AABP Award of Excellence and the NVMA Veterinarian of the Year Award. His interests include beef health systems management, preventive health and production management planning, and diagnostic investigations.


He received his DVM from the University of Missouri and MS, Clinical Sciences from Colorado State University. He and his wife, Elizabeth, have been married for over 50 years, are parents of 2 adult daughters and reside in Harvard, Nebraska.
