Dr. Dave Sjeklocha is a 1994 graduate of Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. His practice focus has been beef production medicine, primarily in feedyard health and well-being. His feedyard consulting practice included clients in 5 states, and he eventually became the staff veterinarian for Cattle Empire Feedyards (240,000 hd capacity) near Satanta, KS. He joined Merck Animal Health as a Technical Services Veterinarian in 2018. Dr. Sjeklocha is a Past President of the Academy of Veterinary Consultants and chaired AVC’s Beef Cattle Health and Well-Being Committee. He has also chaired the American Association of Bovine Practitioners’ Animal Welfare Committee for 6 years. Dr. Sjeklocha has been married to his wife, Sheri, for over 35 years and they have three grown children and 2 grandchildren.
